Telephone helplines:
Advice and support is given by means of our local telephone helpline. Using the expertise of the national Association we are able to provide Essex residents with a listening ear and appropriate information.
We also offer a separate local telephone helpline for residential care homes providing care for older people in Essex. This telephone support is available to current and potential residents, relatives and staff.
Both telephone helplines are available 9.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Please click on:

Newsletters:
We aim to offer regular newsletters to members, stakeholders and other interested groups, keeping them informed of local issues.
Local Representatives:
Our vision is to build a bank of volunteers who will act as local representatives of the Association. Please click Volunteering Opportunities for more details
Influencing policy-makers:
Whilst the R&RA(E) service to individuals is confidential, any emerging themes will be shared with the policy-makers who are responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of older people in Essex.
The R&RA(E) is working closely with Essex Council, Southend Borough Council, Thurrock Councils and the Primary Care Trusts in: Mid Essex, West Essex and South West Essex. Early identification of issues can influence the way in which these statutory organisations develop and deliver their services.
